Miller's Road, Cambridge

The project involves the demolition of the existing rear conservatory and extensions, accompanied by internal alterations to create a new entrance porch, a spacious kitchen, a utility area, a large open-plan living/dining room, and a study/bedroom with an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a redistribution of space, which includes the addition of an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom.

The proposed design features the installation of rooflights to increase the amount of natural light, as well as new aluminum doors and windows. A significant aspect of the design is the incorporation of a large sliding folding door with an external rendered finish, enhancing the property's overall aesthetics and giving it a contemporary appearance.

The result of these changes is a family home that now offers generous open spaces. A wood-burning stove has been included in the family area for warmth during the winter, while ample natural light floods the spaces. The folding sliding door creates a seamless connection between the interior and the outside garden, providing an ideal space for family enjoyment.
